The original UK Kitemark is a product and service quality certification which is owned and operated by The British Standards Institution (BSI Group).
The Kitemark has most frequently been used to identify products where safety is paramount which is why you won't find a kitemark on cycling helmets but you will on motorbike helmets.
The Kitemark was originally conceived in 1903 as a symbol to identify products manufactured to meet British Standards' specifications. It indicates that the product has been independently tested by the BSI.
We have appropriated this logo to make our own. The Mamnick kitemark logo is our own guarantee of the finest products and service quality something I've been putting in place since day-one of the brand. It also looks like the ’S’ of the original logo is the Mam Nick road itself, leading up to the two-peaks that make up the Mamnick logo - Mam Tor and Lords Seat.
